I am making a move the first of July. I decided to invest in a building of my own for the business with an owner’s apartment upstairs. It is only 100 feet down the street from where I am now but moving isn’t any easier with such a short travel distance. Everything must still be packed up, loaded, unloaded and unpacked.
On top of this I need to renovate the space to accommodate a few more agent offices in the Burk’s Falls Branch of RE/MAX North Country Inc. Brokerage space and merge 2 apartments into one for my living quarters. AND I need to erect a fence around the yard for my dogs…Really What Was I Thinking!!!!
Real estate is crazy busy this year with no reserves of listings so the inventory is low. This makes it difficult to find the right property for the many Buyers coming to the Almaguin Highlands but I persevere until I find the perfect property for them. Sellers are enjoying a faster sale time and if priced correctly they are obtaining close to their asking price.
Moving will come with a few changes in staff as well with new administration person on the front desk allowing the sales people the freedom to leave and service clients. July 1st is the move date for the office and I hope to have the new building façade and the renovated interior totally completed by then. I will certainly post pictures. Thank goodness for having carpenters, landscapers and eves trough specialists in the family ….I think their businesses will all have a boost.
Keeping things local is important to me as the spinoff is such a positive thing for the Villages of Almaguin. I make sure to use the local lumber yards, local contractors and students looking for summer employment.
